1 Introduction
ResumeApp ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our mobile app and website at resumeapp.com.pk.
By using ResumeApp, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2 Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you create and manage your resume:
- Name, email address, and profile photo (from Google Sign-In)
- Professional details: job title, work experience, education history
- Skills, certifications, and projects you add to your profile
- Contact information you choose to include in your resume
- Language preferences
We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or any sensitive personal data beyond what you explicitly enter.
3 How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the ResumeApp service:
- Displaying and managing your resume profile across devices
- Generating downloadable PDF resumes from your profile data
- Syncing your data securely across the web and mobile apps
- Authenticating your account via Google Sign-In
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the app's core resume-building functionality.
4 Data Storage & Security
Your resume data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database provided by Google LLC. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections at all times.
We apply reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong authentication method and keep your credentials private.
5 Third-Party Services
ResumeApp uses the following third-party services that may process your data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase – authentication and cloud data storage (Firebase Privacy)
- Google Sign-In – secure account authentication (Google Privacy Policy)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
6 Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated profile data (experience, education, skills, certifications, projects) is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
7 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your resume data at any time within the app
- Export your resume as a PDF at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data permanently
- Contact us with any privacy-related questions or requests

8 Children's Privacy
ResumeApp is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
